Why are Work order additional documents not printing out with my Print+ button?

When printing Work orders from within Accentis Enterprise, you are able to use either the Print button or the Print+ button.

The Print button will only print the form’s default reports, while the Print+ button will print any documents in the Work order’s Documents tab that have the Print this document with default printing button option ticked. Unless the When using the work order "Print all documents" button, use the same printer for documents and reports option is ticked, these additional documents are printed to the default Windows printer instead of the printer you may have set in the Printers form.

If you find that a document isn’t printing, even though it is visible in the Work order’s Documents tab, you will need to check these two options.

Print this document with default printing button

When a document has the Print this document with default printing button option ticked, it will be printed when the Print+ button is used on a Work order that the document is linked to. To check this option is ticked for documents that aren’t printing:

  1. Navigate to the record that the document is attached to.
    1. If it is not the Work order itself, the record type will be at the beginning of the document name.

  1. Highlight the document and select Change.
  2. Select More >> and confirm the Print this document with default printing button option is ticked.

When using the work order ‘print all documents’ button, use the same printer for documents and reports

When the Manufacturing System preference When using the work order "Print all documents" button, use the same printer for documents and reports is ticked, documents will be printed to the default Windows printer when the Print+ button is used on a Work order that the document is linked to. To check this option is ticked:

  1. Navigate to System > Preferences > Manufacturing.
  2. Locate the When using the work order ‘print all documents’ button, use the same printer for documents and reports option and confirm it is ticked.

It’s important to note that if this option is not ticked, the documents will be printing to the default Windows printer. If you have multiple printers available and have attempted to print with this option unticked, please check that the document hasn’t printed at another printer.
