How to set up bereavement leave

KB121

Bereavement leave (also known as compassionate leave) is typically an amount of leave that can be taken for each instance of death or life-threatening injury to an immediate family member. It is an example of a type of leave that does not accrue, cannot be paid out and is therefore not a financial entitlement that can be accounted-for in advance. It occurs on an ad-hoc basis and cannot be predicted or scheduled.
