How to un-delete an item code

KB269

It’s possible to delete an Item code from your database that you no longer intend to use. Complications can arise in doing this if you need to update or adjust any records in which the item code has been used (e.g. Sales order, Purchase order)

Accentis Enterprise will not entirely delete an item when a user selects Delete. What actually happens is the item is removed to a Pending delete status. It’s possible to un-delete this item code and bring it back to the database so you can finish the adjustment.

You will need to know the item code to undelete it.

  1. Go to the inventory form Inventory > Inventory
  2. Click Special > Allow display of deleted records
  3. Type your item code and click Fetch
    1. You will see the deleted item code usually with an underscore at the end. This is here to indicate that it has been deleted AND to allow you to re-use the old item code
  4. Click Edit. This will un-delete the item. Optionally, remove the underscore (but be careful to ensure that the item code WITHOUT the underscore does not already exist)
  5. Click Update

You will now be able to make any adjustments or updates.
