How to enter un-deposited monies collected in your prior system before go-live

KB78

When you first start using Accentis Enterprise, you may have receipts that have already been processed and form part of your “cash on hand” balance but which have not yet been deposited into the bank.

  1. Enter the Receipt into Accentis Enterprise using the date on which it was first receipted into your prior system
    1. Make it a MANUAL receipt (do not enter the customer’s code). We are only interested in this receipt from an account reconciliation perspective – we do not want Accentis Enterprise to recognise any invoice allocations
    2. Annotate (make notes) to indicate which customer this is for, for your own reference
    3. Allocate it to your “Cash on hand” or “Undeposited funds” General Ledger account
  2. When you take this money to the bank, your Deposit function will show this receipt and you can include it on your deposit
  3. You should only use this process for receipts that have been received into a cash on hand account, not into your primary bank account in your prior system
