Why does my payment remittance advice email not have a remittance PDF attached?
Overview
Accentis Enterprise allows you to email remittance notifications to suppliers directly from an Automated remittance or Payment. These emails can either be sent in PDF format or plain text format.
If, when sending a remittance notification email, you find that it doesn’t include an attached Remittance advice PDF, then your remittance notifications are sending using plain text format.
Changing the format for remittance notifications
The format that is used for remittance notification emails is determined by the Use plain text format for remittance advice emails system preference.
When the Use plain text format for remittance advice emails system preference is on, remittance notification emails are sent using plain text format and will not have Remittance advice PDFs attached. Instead, the remittance details are included in the bodies of the emails.
When the Use plain text format for remittance advice emails system preference is off, remittance notifications emails are sent using PDF format and will have Remittance advice PDFs attached. The bodies of the emails will only include the Company name and ABN that are set in your database’s Preferences.
Additional notes
- On the Automated remittance form, the menu option to send remittance notifications will either say Email PDF remittance notification or Email text remittance notification depending on the chosen format.
- On the Payment form, the menu option to send remittance notifications will always say Email Remittance Notification regardless of the chosen format.
