Locations

Locations represent the different physical workplaces at which employees can be situated. An employee is designated as working at (or being based at) exactly one location.

  • No practical limit to the number of Locations that can be stored

Special actions available for users with Administrator permissions:

  • Change the User ID of the Entered by field of memos.
  • Edit memos entered by other users.

Database rules:

  • A location cannot be deleted if any of the following circumstances exist:
    • The location is referenced as the location for any Employee

Reference: list, read-only

This list shows all Locations currently defined.

As you click on each location in the list, the details of the location are displayed to the right of the list.

Reference: text(50), FlexiCode, mandatory

This is the code given to a location to allow it to be quickly identified.

The Location code is a FlexiCode. This allows you to modify the location code while still retaining all previous internal references and links to that Location.

Reference: address

This is the physical address of the location.

Reference: memo, expandable

This field should contain any comments that are relevant to the location.
